SUNSHINEANDBUBBLES

We bought Sunshineandbubbles as a yearling and syndicated her for entire career. She is like one of the family and an absolute star, turning into a real winning machine for the syndicate, and placed on numerous occasions.

Multiplex, her sire, is from the family of Warning, Commander In Chief, and Dushyantor, so it was a great pedigree, but more importantly, she was related to several multiple winners, so we always expected her to win lots of races herself.

Her dam, Dockside Strike, caught our attention because all of her previous offspring had been multiple winners! Sunshineandbubbles’ full-brothers Precision Strike won ten races, and Picket Line was successful in four races. Her full sister Complex won twice, and her half-brother Under Approval won five races.

Sunshineandbubbles certainly lived up to expectations!

In total, she achieved ELEVEN career wins and became a firm favourite with our owners, trainers, yard staff, and the general public who supported her massively, especially on her all-weather outings. She also proved herself just as capable on turf, with comfortable wins at Chepstow and Leicester. She forged a very fruitful relationship with jockey Rossa Ryan early in his career, who won on her five times, and the veteran rider Joe Fanning, who steered her to victory on three occasions, including a memorable 8 length victory at Wolverhampton when she left her rivals standing. George Downing started off her winning streak, achieving her first win in a Lingfield maiden, and David Nolan and Gina Mangan also rode her to victory.

She gave our syndicate members some wonderful memories and lived up to our promise to provide owners with “Amazing Racing” experiences. In the end, we decided that she had done more than enough to earn a well-deserved retirement in the paddocks. We are grateful to all her trainers – Mark Loughnane, Jennie Candlish, and David Evans, who helped her achieve such an amazing career.

She has now entered our breeding programme and has produced two great-looking fillies by Massaat in 2022 and 2023. She was not covered in 2023, but we look forward to seeing her first foal on the racecourse in 2024 and hope you will want to get involved in THAT syndicate!
