The Firm returned to Haydock yesterday, where he contested the closest of finishes back in April, and ran another very good race at the track, finishing 3rd to Italian Beauty. Despite the ground being softer than he would have liked, jockey Charlie Bennett had done his homework by viewing previous races, so he knew what tactics would suit and he gave him a great ride. He is a young man well worth his 3lb claim and we hope to be able to use him again in future. The Firm will have a break now and we’ll make a decision on his future later in the year. Once again many thanks to Haydock Racecourse for their hospitality, inviting placed connections into the winners room for a welcome glass of champagne after the race.
