Syndicate Superstar Retired
We bought Sunshineandbubbles as a yearling, and syndicated her for entire career. She was out of a mare who had produced several multiple winners, and she did even better that we expected, becoming the most prolific winner in her family!
With ELEVEN career wins she was a firm favourite with the general public, especially on her all-weather outings. For our owners, trainers, and stable staff she was an absolute delight, and proved herself just as capable on turf with comfortable wins at Chepstow and Leicester.
She formed a very successful relationship with jockey Rossa Ryan, who won on her five times. Joe Fanning also steered her to victory on three occasions. Joe’s wins included a memorable 8 length victory at Wolverhampton, when she left her rivals standing. George Downing started off her winning streak, achieving her first win in a Lingfield maiden. That earned him a nomination for “Ride of the Month” in the process. David Nolan and Gina Mangan complete the list of jockeys who won on her. We thank them all for the part they played in her story.
Sunshineandbubbles gave our syndicate members some wonderful memories. She really lived up to our promise to provide owners with “Amazing Racing” experiences. Unfortunately, she picked up an injury during her last run at Chelmsfordn and we chose not to risk her again on the racecourse. She had done more than enough to earn a well-deserved retirement in the paddocks. We are grateful to all her trainers – Mark Loughnane, Jennie Candlish, and David Evans, who helped her achieve such an amazing career.
She will now enter our breeding programme, and will be covered by Massaat in 2021. We look forward to seeing her first foal on the racecourse in 2024. THAT syndicate should prove popular!
