Another Close Second at Wolves!

Stepping up in trip to 1m 4f, SUNSHINEANDBUBBLES came up against another hot-pot, the odds-on favourite Compatriot, from the Olly Murphy yard, and once again performed with great credit but couldn’t beat an extremely well-handicapped winner. Eddy Greatrex was on board, and didn’t get a clear run just over a furlong out, but that made no difference to the result, as it looked as if the winner won with any amount in hand. In the circumstances we did well to finish a close-up second, and a massive eight lengths clear of the rest. In her last three runs she has just been unfortunate to run into better-handicapped horses, but the style of her performances and the distance back to those behind her give us plenty of encouragement for the future.
