Sunshine And Roses
£1,250.00 – £5,000.00
Sunshine And Roses, the daughter of 11 time winning mare SUNSHINEANDBUBBLES
Description
Sunshine And Roses is a 2yo filly out of SUNSHINEANDBUBBLES, a mare who was a prolific winner for one of our syndicates. She retired sound with 11 wins to her name, and we expect big things from her daughter.
The filly was sired by MASSAAT and the mating is rated a “20/20” match by the G1 Goldmine pedigree analysis system. Similarly-bred horses have been Stakes winners, and the cross is rated “Outstanding”.
She made her debut on 5th June, finishing a close 5th of 10 at Chelmsford. She ran quite green, but finished strongly, showing a great attitude, and was beaten only 3 lengths. A very pleasing first outing and she will come on massively for the experience. A winner waiting to happen.

Sunshine And Roses is trained by JACK CHANNON at West Ilsley in Berkshire. He has achieved excellent results since taking over the licence in 2023 from his father, the legendary Mick Channon.
Jack has been really happy with the filly all through the winter. She hasn’t missed a day in training since joining the yard, and made her debut at Chelmsford on 5th June, finishing 5th of 10, beaten only 3 lengths and finishing really well, showing a great attitude. She definitely has wins in her.
Sunshine And Roses is GBB Registered, which means she is qualified for a series of races which pay a £20,000 bonus to the winner over and above the normal prize money. These races will be her initial targets.
MASSAAT was a classy performer who has produced quality offspring with great conformation and good temperaments. He competed at the highest level at two, three and four years. After his 2nd in the Dewhurst Stakes at two, he also came 2nd in the 2,000 Guineas to Galileo Gold, with several future stallions behind him. Massaat got better with age, as many of his progeny have done, and as a 4 year old he won the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes.
His best offspring so far have been:
- Docklands – won 3 races including the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot 2023, with earnings of £128,289
- Queues Likely – won 5 races and 2nd in the German 1000 Guineas; sold for £240,000 to go to Australia
- Coco Jamboo – Won 3 races then sold for 160,000gns to race in Australia, where he won a Group 3
Dam Details
SUNSHINEANDBUBBLES ran for one of our Amazing Racing syndicates. She was a prolific winner, with victories every year for five years, achieving eleven victories in total, and was placed a further 21 times. Her best distance was a mile and quarter, but she won from 1 mile upwards. She came from a family that produced several other multiple winners, and was very genuine. Sunshine And Roses, her 2yo daughter by Massaat, will initially run over 6 furlongs, but should step up in distance as she matures.

The syndicate term will run until the conclusion of her 3 year old career, i.e. 30th November 2026.
At the end of the contract term, she will be sent to the most appropriate horses-in-training sale, unless all owners agree to retain her for another year. Should the syndicate receive offers to purchase her privately during the syndicate period, owners will decide by vote.
