We are delighted to announce that our Aclaim filly now has a name!

After a number of suggestions from syndicate owners, the matter was put to a vote, and the chosen name is “Rue de La Paix“, which has now been registered with the BHA.

This is the name of a fashionable shopping street in the centre of Paris, which is famous for high-class jewellers shops, such as Cartier, and is also home to various famous fashion houses.

Her name is derived mainly from the name of her dam, Street Chic, and as a well known fashionable street, Rue de La Paix seemed a good and popular choice, without its meaning being too obvious! This filly has French form in her pedigree, and now has a French name, so it all seemed quite appropriate!

On a positive note, her trainer David Evans has said he is pretty happy with her level of fitness now, and that she could be making her debut in the next few weeks.
