SUNSHINEANDBUBBLES was forced too wide on her return to Southwell a couple of weeks ago, so we drew a line through that race, and today she just ran into a well-handicapped one that coincidentally gave Mark Johnston’s apprentice his first winner from his first ride – which we are sure wasn’t accidental! She ran well to finish third, beaten only a length, and young Harrison Shaw did nothing wrong taking over from the unavailable Rossa Ryan. It speaks volumes that we now feel a bit disappointed when she doesn’t win, and we are eagerly looking forward to her next outing to see what more improvement Jennie Candlish can bring out of her.
