We are absolutely buzzing after Sunshineandbubbles achieved a hat-trick of wins in the final race at Leicester racecourse last night. What a fantastic horse! Well done to everyone in the syndicate – thank you for your unwavering support during lock-down, and through this period of racing behind closed doors, where we are still prevented from seeing our superstar in action, in the flesh.

Few horses manage to achieve a three-timer in their careers, but that was just the icing on the cake as her success at Leicester represented her TENTH career win. Fittingly perhaps, she was wearing the number 10 saddle-cloth, so perhaps that was an omen!

Many thanks to Emma and David Evans and their team, plus a special mention for Rossa Ryan who gave her a super confident ride to record his fifth win on her. Breaking well from the gates, he got her settled in a handy position throughout and seemed to be travelling quite comfortably. She put in a gutsy performance at the business end of the race, hitting the front over a furlong from home, and seeing off a strong challenge from the favourite, always doing enough to hold off that rival, and truly never looking in danger as the line approached.

We shall see what the handicapper does now but she looked capable of following up yet again, and with turf and all-weather options to consider we can expect more fun times ahead!
