SUNSHINE AND ROSES made her seasonal reappearance over a mile at Windsor on Bank Holiday Monday. Tom Marquand took the ride and reported that she was “a bit rusty” and he wasn’t hard on her so he was happy enough with her first run after a long lay off. She got a good workout which should have blown the cobwebs away and will help put her spot on for the summer campaign.
The excessive heat and the firm ground didn’t help her but despite finishing down the field she will come on bundles for the run. Her trainer Jack Channon remains confident that she will be winning races this year, as he told At The Races when they did a stable tour feature on the yard!
