Second at Lingfield!
Sunshine And Roses was up in trip to 7 furlongs for her fourth start, this time seeing if Lingfield was to her liking, and she did act on the surface, so a return visit is sure to be in her future. It was the track where her dam Sunshineandbubbles lost her maiden tag, so there was some hope that history might repeat itself.
Unfortunately that was not to be, because although she ran well, she “bumped into one” today and could only finish 2nd. Charlie Bishop was on board and kept her in touch with the leaders, went second a furlong out, but could not catch the winner. Nevertheless, that was a positive result, delivering another podium finish, and finishing clear of the others. Plenty to look forward to.
